Obviously that goes without saying, as mentioned their asymmetrical design is unusual to say the least. Many are familiar with the exterior, but I find the interior is just as unusual. It’s surprisingly soothing.
Everything is round. And I mean everything! Every knob, every line has been rounded somehow. This is backwards to its boxie exterior. Of the many dashboard oddities, there is one set of cup holders that is right beside the steering wheel. Technically there are 8 cup holders, 6 within close reach of the driver. This one though is the easiest to reach at all times. On the passenger side, there is this bizarre shelf. I’m not really sure what it was originally meant to be used for. It’s not very wide, just enough to place a cell phone or small tablet. To me it really looks like a face.
Perhaps, this is where the car communicates to you? Or maybe I’m to install a small keyboard here?Like a drop of water perfectly radiating out from the centre the ceiling blends into the never ending interior roundness. And then there is this, an extra piece of carpet sitting on the dashboard.
This is a different model then ours, but it was an accessory on the top model. It’s purpose… it looks funky? Digging around on the internet nothing comes up to why this is here, other then a desire to be different.
